Well controlling video quality with reasonable file size has always been a problem when you don’t have proper codec. i will say H264 is best codec for converting video , it controls quality better, gives low size video that works perfect but you must have a properly compiled FFMPEG .

i was working with MP4 and FLV from last 3 weeks, daily conversion tests, compilation and bla bla , in the end , i finally able to get what i want with proper configurations that are controlled by Clipbucket (v2)

look at the samples – disregarding audio and video bitrate

Still fighting with video size using flags – combining with server performance etc . but in ClipBucket v2 you will have option for both , either to go with normal quality or also convert videos in HQ .

ClipBucket has built in functions that checks the video weather its HQ/HD then it checks weather FFMPEG is capable of converting video or not, then proceed . Gives proper report to the admin who can track problems , i cant say easily but a handy log that can help server admins and developers to reach the problem fast.

Bottom Line

I must say, this is not the best part of ClipBucket v2 as it has many advance features that no one imagine before – ClipBucket v2 is 80% for developers , so they can develop – contribute and make it more usable.

First of all i must say thanks to Frank who lead this project and worked so hard on it.

Whats the Alpha Version and why it was released ?

well , frank didn’t want it to release , he wanted to improve it a lil more before releasing but I was in such a hurry that he had to release it. Alpha version is supposed to be released for testing purposes and to know likes and dislikes of people, if you want to use it for your live website, we wont stop you but you better go with scripts not having beta or alpha tags, perhaps beta is better than Alpha.

Alpha version is release so that we can test our current development as well as add new features. if you have bad ideas about design and code don’t spit them out yet as you don’t know really about what changes have been made.

new template will be coming with its final release with a handy docs for customization.

ClipBucket v1.7.2 will not have as big features as you imagine, but we will try to embed them in v2.

Hello ClipBucket Users, on December 12 , I Have decided to release the stable version of ClipBucket with new features

I , Frank White and Momo worked as a team and bringing this next big thing to you. We worked hard to provide you the best solution, many bugs have been fixed , many features has been added, new conversion class also added with a little new look and better perfomance then before.

We added a highly Demand features like

Remote Upload , this feature allows you to upload video from a server, that is hosted on some other website, you just need to put the files path and just need to click on Upload button.

Embed Upload , this feature allows you to enter an embed code of the video from YouTube™ or Metcáfe .

New Admin panel features and more control over objects. Admin now change user passwords , but more important is video conversion problem, there are many cases in which video sometimes gives error after conversion, but now, admin can edit everything manually, he can change the duration, change the thumbs either upload or regenerate them via admin panel, change video stats like views or rating , change processing status from ‘processing’ to successful or failed.

Admin can also edit or remove videos while browsing.

Improved Graphics of rating, fully Multilingual with UTF-8 Encode.

Improved features of user areas like Inbox with multi select and delete.

also introduced Plugin System, in old versions, there are no Plugin system , but now we have added a simple plugin system that will be upgraded accordingly with the script.

Me and Frank White (fwhite) are working on ClipBucket. There are many fantastic new features have been added you ClipBucket . Our Major Feature is Mui (Multi Language Mod).

We Have Really improved the Admin Panel and almost ever bug has been fixed.

We Have also created new FFMPEG class, Now Just ffmpeg will be our main tool for conversion , that can convert any type of file.

I am working on stats section and it will be finished , soon
