ClipBucket 2.0.8 Rev 366 , We released 2.0.8 Rev 365 yesterday, but few bugs remains there so that’s why we have to release Rev 366, now its a clean release, some aw some new features and even more stable video conversion.

Lets start with PakPlayer

As we told you before, Pakplayer is based on flowplayer so it woks the same as Flowplayer BUT we made a core editing to integrate with our need completely, here is a quick overview of what Pakplayer can do

Pseudo Streaming

Pakplayer can pseudo stream videos, works with lighttpd H264 streaming as well as rtmp. For those who don’t have lighttpd can work things out  with xmoov.

Controls

Pakplayer is really easy to control, almost every part of Pakplayer is controlled via Java-scripting, using jQuery, Controlling Pakplayer is no more difficult, you can either read flowplayer articles or wait for our docs.

Plugins

Pakplayer can extend its power with its plugins such as Youtube or Advertising or Viral Videos like, we Compiled Main source with Youtube and Pseudo Streaming plugin only, you can expect more in future.

Skinning

Pakplayer skin can be changed with  CSS, you can brand your own player, change gradients, styles easily, its totally based on CSS 3 and XHTML

Whats up with the next update

well, its quite a long since we have released a new update, its simple, we were waiting for a good bug list to fix and so far all reported bugs have been fixed. We are working on ClipBucket Re Index that will re count all stats like Videos uploaded by user, total videos, total comments , comments made by user etc and update the database to keep the stability of content details in ClipBucket.

From past 2 years, we were waiting for a good player, now Pak Player is going to release with next update which is based on flowplayer so thanks to FlowPlayer and team.

PakPlayer is official ClipBucket player which is originally based on Flowplayer, but we have changed its source to meet our needs. PakPlayer is distributed under Attribute Assurance License.

So far, ClipBucket is going great but we still need to add some more features so we want to carry on. I have been thinking of removing crons and you can expect it in our next release, we will remove crons for video conversion, it will be required only for stats , nothing else.

Don’t get excited now as we are now going to work on ClipBucket documentation before we start working on development again, once we are done with our documentation, we will add some new cool features in ClipBucket.

I didn’t get enough time to work on main ClipBucket website, hopefully, once i am done with my project, i will work on our main stream website so users can find things more easily.

well, i was being very optimistic with the things but believe me, it was “really” tough for handling all the jobs all alone (perhaps not that alone). Well, i must say thanks to these guys “oUTSKIRTs” , “Franky” and offcourse “Fawaz”. ClipBucket v2 is now in fully working stage.

Ok, well, BUG is kind of NATURAL thing in WORLD of PROGRAMMING so don’t afraid of it as we always got a bug killer (no violence). But, so far, all basic features for a video sharing website off-course one like Youtube , have been ACHIEVED =D

we have been working hard on our project and still awaiting for developers to join us and help us achieve the goals that we have set.

there are other scripts and it looks like they have more features than ClipBucket but if you go into deep, you can easily find the difference between the core coding of the ClipBucket and other scripts.

ClipBucket’s code is easy to edit and creating new plugins is also not difficult. I dont know how to write documentation on scripts, so i would let you guys to ask me questions about ClipBucket development, i will gladly help you.

I am trying my best and struggling to add as much features as i can but user contribution is too much low and unexpected that definitely low down our morals, i request you to please support our community by creating new themes or any changes or hacks you make, please do share them on our forums.

ClipBucket Rc2 has been released and we are almost reaching at a stable stage. But, complete list of features that ClipBucket has is too much long that if you compare with our existing features, none script can match us. and we are still willing to go on and on.

ah, i have been inactive from past few days, had to do some tough work, still not done but i can tell the release date of ClipBucket RC2
a long term problem that is coming with ClipBucket is video processing and i tried to add as much system abilities as i can. now featuring two more options and that are “Quick Conversion” and “Server Friendly” , as their names say, Quick conversion is basically used to turn on quick video conversion that starts converting videos as soon as it is uploaded and Server Friendly simple does not let ClipBucket to process videos more than 1 at a time.

Besides this, we have added

- Comments Moderation and Global Spam Option (if admin spam comment, it will not display)
- Subscribed Videos, this option was not added throughout ClipBucket v2 Releases
- Show Inactive sign on videos to admin on front end and quick video moderation.
- Fixed Video search in admin
- Fixed Video search in front end
- Fixed Group videos count
- Fixed Many Parts of View Channel
- Some more..

and the worst part was that, i recently update my OS and reinstalled local server and forgot to turn on magic_quotes_gc in php settings and that cause recent of version of ClipBucket alot of problems, advertisements were not adding properly, new gibberish text appears on adding new page so i recently found this problem and now its finally fixed for all next releases

“JFusion does its magic with the use of its JFusion user and authentication plugins. These plugins allow the complete customisation of the Joomla login behaviour without any core hacks to Joomla. When multiple softwares are integrated there needs to be one “master” software that controls all user management actions. When a user logs in to Joomla, JFusion will validate the user based on the user details in the master software. Sorry for delaying our next update, 2.0.4, upgrader took more time than expected, anyways, upgrader is final and we are waiting for final call to release the next update and that is fix of all bugs that are discovered. Well, we checked Youtube’s New Video Page, and we decided to chase YouTube this time =D,

yea, we are planning to make all Youtube features possible in ClipBucket from top to bottom , left to right, a to z. In order to make this feature possible, we need your support in all terms ($-$) , our plans are to make these feature available to public for free but if we dont get enough contribution in form of ($) then possibly we charge you little in order to buy new pair of shoes every sunday =D yea we really mean it.

Dont think that we are ever going to make ClipBucket paid, or going to remove or limit any exisiting feature so be chill, we just need some booster so we can Race with Youtube, its a tough competitor but we want to participate…
